MWRT – 2025 – 2nd day at Many Glacier
We gathered our gear and headed out to Many Glacier Lodge for a morning hike to the Red Rock Falls before relocating to East Glacier at the Summit Mountain Lodge and Steakhouse. We came upon a beautiful river falls and stopped there to enjoy the beauty of the scenery and the sounds of rushing water over the red rock granite outcroppings. I’m not sure this was the so called Red Rock Falls, but we decided we were ready to turn back and drive to East Glacier where we had reservations for dinner at the Summit Mountain Lodge Steakhouse.

Kathy and I celebrated our 44th wedding anniversary during these few days together in the great Glacier Park. It reminded us of our honey moon because on that occasion, we drove to Rocky Mountain National Park. It’s wonderful to experience the mountains and valleys and rivers again together. We have seen so many new parts of nature this trip, been pretty good.
Drive to East Glacier
The drive to East Glacier was beautiful and different as we passed through the rolling hills ranch lands, coming so close to the Canadian border that my Verizon phone welcomed me to Canada and the start of my call, text, and data included in my domestic plan, ha! Our cabin at Summit Mountain Lodge was very nice and the dinner in the steakhouse was good too. The Steakhouse was actually an iconic original great northern train station build in 1906 located in Glacier National Park until it was relocated down highway 2.
