MWRT – 2025 – 2nd Day in Sioux Falls

On my second day in Sioux Falls, I had to take some time out for laundry and to wash the truck. Felt good to be all set for the next half of my journey. I drove out to Grand Falls Casino and golf club, back into Iowa, out in the middle of nowhere, about 30 miles from town. It was very nice place with a beautiful golf course.

Today I managed to get in about 6 hours of play in 7 hours elapsed time before heading back to Sioux Falls to take in the historic falls located right downtown. Things went really well for me right off and was up quite a bit. Never really had any downswing and added to my winnings during the course of the day. Had a good time talking with the folks that played with me at the table. In particular, a couple of farmers about my age were playing and having a good time. They knew the staff and the other players that would join us.

At one point a guy sat down next to me at third base and was talking trash with these two fellas. The older farmer at first base asked him about his ex-wife and the guy she was seeing, suggesting the guy must be an a@*hole. I couldn’t believe it, these guys were cold. The guy at first base responds saying, “yea, she’s seeing a guy, he’s a farmer”. The old man replies, “oh, so he’s an a@*hole”! I ’bout fell of my chair laughing! These guys kept me laughing the whole time.

One thing I noticed about them, they seemed really old for their age but there hands seemed like gnarled tree roots. I don’t think I would want to mess with them.

I headed to Sioux Falls to see the Falls and enjoyed it, here are a few pictures. Headed to Deadwood South Dakota tomorrow through Black Hills, should be a magnificent drive.
